Wow, this place is a vibe!! I am a frequent customer of Tony’s, and the bartenders suggested I come check out Capo’s since a few of them also work here and the menu is sort of similar but with that Chicago style pizza.
I had the deep dish Johnny Torrio (couldn’t decide between that and the Deville) and it was amazing!! The peppers on top made it very unique. Also had the bone marrow bruschetta as recommended by the Tony’s staff and that was amazing as well. The decor inside is also quite nice. I’m definitely planning to come back since I’m in SF once/month.
I do love coming to Capo's!!! It is one place I visit any time I am in San Francisco! I have been here many times and will be back. I like the area and the views from this part of town! Although, it has gotten a bit questionable over the past few years, I hope the area gets better before it gets worse! I really enjoy the lasagna here! Cooked in a wood burning oven gives it a flavor that I have not found anywhere else! The pizza regardless of what type are also wonderful as well! I do like the ambulance and the wait staff have always been friendly and accommodating, not to mention humorous! I don't drink so I really can't give a read on that but from the look on my wife and daughters faces they definitely were not shy on alcohol! I tell everyone I know that if you are going to be in San Francisco this is the place to try for Pizza and Lasagna! Ohhhh, don't forget the deserts either! Thanks Capo's for making another wonderful birthday!
This is an Italian spot. From the same ownership as Tony's with an old school feel. Leather studded booths with brick undertones serving as a back drop for the historical environment. The food also reflects that with some classic staples …
Interesting restaurant with lots of pizza options. The pizzas take a lot of time to bake so make sure to account for that; however they are well worth the wait!
Excellent Chicago and Detroit style pizza. The bar is very good and the bartenders know what they’re doing.
Great Atmosphere and great food! Love this place! Cable car drinks are most to try!
Great neighborhood restaurant for a family feast that brings memories back to your great grandma's Sunday dinners with classic traditional Italian dishes that will warm your heart and fill your belly. Friendly staff and patrons alike top off the overall experience. The Detroit style pizza was phenomenal!
EXCELLENT pizza here. Loved that we could choose between traditional, Chicago, or Detroit. Ended up getting the Bootlegger Detroit style and it was incredible. Also, really great service and fun, laidback ambience.
Yin and Yang. Came to Capo's in North Beach in SF and felt like a Mob Boss! Too wet outside to break out my pinstripe suit! I usually come for some delicious Chicago thick crust pizza. But, we decided we wanted to try some bone marrow …
We stumbled onto this place while visiting from KansasCity. The atmosphere was wonderful, loved the decor. The lasagna was by far one of the best I've ever had!
